how do i hatch button quail and take care of them?!?

we are getting quail eggs tomorrow and i need some tips on hatching, we hatched coturnix quail and we got 3 out of 12! i need some tips soon. ty for reading and or helping!

Hatching either quail species should be pretty similar. When you receive your hatching eggs are you letting them settle for a day before putting them in the incubator?

I mostly hatch silkie chickens, but did a batch of quail. I used the exact same settings as for the chicken eggs. The Beginner's Guide to Incubation is a great article by a member of ours. It may help.

Is your incubator “calibrated” many times the thermometer and hygrometers are inaccurate out of the box.

The main difference between hatching button quail vs. coturnix is humidity. Coturnix quail do best at around 30% humidity during incubation, then up to around 60% at lockdown while buttons prefer around 50% humidity during incubation and up to around 70% at lockdown.
