How do I keep a rooster without making my neighbors mad?

do you think if I kept him in the shed it would be quite enough? Hopefully I get a cooprative rooster

or I could have yummy chicken stew or sell him at auction.

They have insulation that block sound some.

The egg waffle mattress toppers that you can get at Walmart, if placed in the walls will help some.

A combination of keeping the windows blacked out or no windows and walls covered with a sound barrier insulation should help to deaden the sound.

But aren't peacocks louder than roosters anyone? My peacock sounds like he could wake the dead. Funny thing is they do have some in the cemetary near me. I bet that sounds really spooky when they crow at night.

PS If you only have one rooster, what about put him in a large dog carrier and take him in the house at night. Cover the crate with a sheet or something and put him in a quiet room or dark closet until you let him out in the mornings.

If that doesn't work, work on moving to the country so you can have as many as makes your heart content!

I want to try breeding wheaten and blue wheaten and I have a few breeders names to get a cockeral from and I might get two more pullets later this summer I am not sure. I have to talk to peachick pips & peeps and you about it some. I still need to talk to my parents after exams but it seems like they would be ok with it as long as we agree to send him to auction of find him a new home if he is too loud :|

My roosters too they crow all hours day night light dark it doesn't matter. We live on a 4.5 acre lot with only one neighbour that I don't like anyhow, we are allowed to have roosters so crow away!!

I know that my chick recognizes my voice. If I call to her she answers back. If she is singing, yes she sings, she ramps up the volume when she hears me. She also come to me when she hears me call her.

I am on great terms with all my neighbors but we do live in town and it can be quite an adjustment. I think maybe it all just depends on the rooster

hope fully if it does work out I can get a chill one.

Too bad I'm not your neighbor, there is nothing I love to hear more in the morning than lots of roosters crowing.

Does he wake you up? I know my peafowl interupt my sleep sometimes. I will invest in some ear plugs to wear to bed.
