How do I keep my chickens cool?

Hi all,

It is July 4th, and a really hot day....I mean HOT. My chickens, a flock of 6 are out in there coop and run. They were panting a LOT and hanging there wings down the way chickens do to try and keep cool....well, cooler. :hmm I have a small black rubber tub thingy that I filled with cold water for them. They drank from it, and one of my Buff Orpington's went in it to cool down. I also refilled there real water container with fresh cold water, they liked that, too. But, they are still super hot, and thats why I logged in to ask this: Are there any other easy ways to get them more cool???

Don't say use a fan or sprinkler, thats out of the list.

Thank you so much!! :frow

P.S. Please reply quick, my sweeties are very hot! :drool
I give my a nice pair of shades and a leather jacket, maybe a switchblade.

My chickens love it when I let the water from the hose run long enough to make large puddles in their run. It cools them down and they love getting in the puddles and scratching around.

I also have misting sprinklers that I set up when it gets really hot. The misting sprinklers cool down the air a bit and if run long enough will sometimes make little puddles which they love.
