How do I keep the run dry

Okay, I'm just going to weigh in here - it looks to me like you have a small prefab coop (or perhaps rabbit hutch originally) with a small door outside, and an entrance for the birds that's under some kind of coop extension/shelter? I see the mini-coop is up on blocks and has a wire gate to keep them safe when they're not free-ranging? And the door to the prefab coop is open at all times?

They have access to everything in this photo, right?

Well yeah the doors always open during the day

Umm I do? Well I don’t even have much experience just learning ::

yes but at the expense of your animals!

sorry but come on! you didn't even have chicken feed at one point on another thread and you sound pretty clueless.

Spend alot more time on here researching there are some great member articles and @aart is a great source of knowledge.

Honestly take everything that moves from the coop out the roosts the nesting boxes and start again. Attach the roost to wall if possible or hell even an old ladder leaned against the wall
the roof needs addressing along with the pipe. i would start again with nest boxes too. where do they sleep now? do they use the perches/roosts to sleep on?

is this an option? get everything from the floor off get the laddery perch roost thing down and replace with a 2x4 going from the door joint to the nesting part. Ontop of the nesting box/hutch thing if its flat top place a water dish and a feeder tray there. a good heavy cereamic dish/ dog bowl is good anything light they can tip and feed goes everywhere.

now the coop part you mention is that the boxey bit? this is where you are confusing people.

the little narrow box thing....sorry to small for chickens to sleep in and there isn't a roosting bar/perch. chickens like to roost on a bar or plank or anything like that whilst they sleep. They dont or really arent meant to sleep in the nest boxes otherwise when the start to lay your going to get poo covered eggs. Where do they sleep now? where do the lay?
