How do i know if my chickens are laying good eggs

hey so im new to raising chickens and I just want to make sure I'm doing ok. Is it normal for backyard chicken eggs to be a little more yellow when you wisk them then store bought ? I feed them nature wise also throw in bugs and whatever scraps we have and i give them flax meal about twice a week. I just want to make sure there's notbing wrong with there eggs. I have 7 chickens and only one is laying so far.

Yes, the eggs laid by your own chickens will be a little more orange in color.

Why the flax meal?
IIRC that could cause problems in egg taste.

My friend who has chickens recommended it for extra source of calcium and it hasn't made it taste wierd so far also thank you for the feed back

Oyster Shells are probably cheaper.
Are you feeding a layer feed?

Yes I am and nope flaxmeal is actually from what I found.
