How do i make my chickens eat marigolds?

I planted a ton of em this spring. And we had some snow last night so now my marigolds won't survive out anymore (to cold).

I have like a hundred plants, with nice orange yellow blooms. How do i get my chickens to eat them instead of ignore em?
I just put them in the coop and they get curious. Eventually they eat it and find out how tasty they are.

Marigolds are a very good source of lutein, which is needed for healthy eyes, skin and arteries. A Washington State University study also indicated that it helps to fight cancer.
Yep it helps the bird look healthy. But will turn their poop black sometimes. I am planning to give it to my market hens. Make them look better in the show ring.
