How do I make my coop secure?

I have a sliding lock on the front of my coop door, like this one

It doesn’t seem secure enough. I don’t have time at the moment to add another lock, is there anything I can do in the mean time to make it more secure?

We were planning on building a platform for the coop to sit on, but we were not planning on having it that high

The lock can only be raised probably a half a foot, but thank you!

Sliding a cinder block up to the door is a good over night solution.

order one of these, and use the carabiner to secure it.

in the mean time, grab a block of wood maybe 4” long and screw it into the door and frame. you’ll have to unscrew it to get into the coop, but it’ll be secure against any predators until you can get a better lock.
