How do i sex a production red?

So I have a little production red who is the sweetest bird in my flock. One day i was holding him/her and noticed little spurs on him, so I started looking at his comb and wattle and they were not as red as one of my earlier roosters. I s there a surefire way to sex it? Thanks in advance

Even pullets will have little spur bumps. It's my understanding that they just don't develop. I am still new at this myself though.
