How do I stop chickens from squawking??

This morning my hens have been very vocal for no apparent reason. They have been doing very loud squawks that the entire street can hear! Almost all the time they are very quiet, but not this morning. One hen did it right after she laid so maybe that’s an egg squawk, but 99% of the time they are extremely quiet after they lay. Another hen has been doing the same loud squawks but hasn’t laid or showed any signs of laying. In short, is there any way to quiet them fast and prevent this in the future? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks

Maybe? They’ve been doing it for at least an hour tho, would they be scared for that long?

Mine sometimes did, they didn't recognize my cat in the bushes and screamed until he went away

Why are they doing it now all of a sudden? They have never done egg songs before

It sounds just like an alarm call, they do it if I have something intimidating like a rake out to clean their coop. One is almost a year old and has been laying since September, and the other two are 8 months old and have been laying since January. Again, neither have ever made egg songs before.

Inside of the coop hasn’t changed, everything is as usual.
