How do I stop chickens from squawking??

Oh, I've got another question - My rooster (5 months old) squeals a lot. Not just crows, but squeals. He was not planned on in the brood, but he's nice and we'll keep him, but he makes odd noises.

Has he actually crowed yet? Some take awhile learning how, especially with out another roo around to learn the right sound from.

It’s safe and it teaches them to be quieter. When the alternative is sending them away from their happy home, a little mist is a good solution and gets their attention. They can learn, they are smart.
