How do I store a fertilized egg before it gets incubated?

I have 7 hens and 1 Rooster. Right now I get 2-3 eggs a day. I plan to fit up to 24 eggs in my Octogon Advanced Ex which will be here no later than Friday (10 days from now).

What temprature and humidity should I store the eggs in till I glet the incubator tested and running?
How often should I turn the eggs for pre-inc storage?
Should I store them small end up or sideways?
Should I store them in an egg carton?
Any other pre-inc storage tips?

in my room (it's always cold) in an egg carton pointy side down, and lifted by a book or something on one side... and every night i switch it to the other side...

If the weather is cool I just store them in an egg carton on a shelf, turning once or twice a day.

If the weather is hot I store them in egg cartons on the top shelf of my refrigerator turning once or twice a day.
