Congrats! Im still trying to win over one of my chicks trust... she is very shy. This is too fun, today was the first day I was able to put my hand down with a palm full of feed that they didn't run like i was taking them to the butcher! I got ALMOST all of them to come up and take a peck at me (and a couple thought my finger was a pudgy little worm...) I think the only two who didn't come up to me was my Black Australorps, of course they are only about 4 days old so I can understand. Otherwise it was sooooo CUTE!![]()
Mine too! Im starting to think they are doing it on purpose!!!Mine aren't quite three weeks old yet but its starting to hurt a little when the hoard dives at my food filled hand. They aren't very careful peckers.
Same thing with me!!! LOL!You would think from the way they swarm my hand they never eat but the buggers have a full feeder 24/7. Silly chicks.

Chicks grow like weeds! Its crazy! I once had barred Rock chicks, we were hoping that they were pullets, but they both turned out to be roosters! So we had to get rid of our very first chicks! This is probably the 4 or 5th time with chicks and I find it kind of strange that I am able to tell the sex of chicks at a very young age!Bonnie @ 2 weeks old
Clyde @ 2 weeks
Bonnie @ 5 weeks
Clyde @ 5 weeks
These are my 2 EE's, i bought them straight run so anything goes still. Im thinking pullet for Bonnie, but Clyde is still confusing me... They way they grow is amazing! and the crazy part is im still able to tell them all apart and never marked them...the only ones that still throw me for a loop are the Barrd Rock chicks...they are so identical!
