Note that I did not know about the different neck feathers on males and females until recently... Before then I always thought they looked sort of scruffy, but didn't give it much thought, like why would all of the males have scruffy looking neck feathers? Now it's obvious, lol.

The one I'm most embarrassed about is the white flights and throat patches... Had no clue what that meant! Seems like I learn something new about peafowl every day, and that makes me smile!

We were told he is 1.5 yrs old.. But by what ive been reading he is much older. What do you think?

I think he's probably at least 3 years old.

Im thinking the same. He is camera shy, but this was takin this morning.

The picture from the back confirms to me he is a two-year-old. Good genetics, good nutrition, and probably an early hatchling. Once they become four it is literally impossible to tell but you can look a the spurs and legs and see if they are really old.
