How do I tell the hens from the roosters?

I'm wanting to get into the chicken business. I'm getting an incubator and getting all set up. I have Buff Orpington chickens. What I was wondering was when they hatch out, how do I tell the day old hens from the roosters?

You would have to vent sex them, or wait until they mature.

Look up "vent sexing baby chicks" on google, or "vent sexing" here on BYC search.

You can usually tell on buff orps by 5-6 weeks old. The boys comb gets bigger and redder faster. The girls don't get red comb until they are almost ready to lay.
