I tried vet wrap with no luck. It fell off pretty much instantly.

Desiree is adorable with her topknot ponytail!

I use a barrett the same color as the silkie... white gets a white bow... buff gets a yellow bow... and the partridge gets a brownish bow. Typically, once it is in... it is in.

Ok, so no go on the vet wrap

I can see how it would work in the show cage but not while they're out scratching about.
The hair tape is pink and looks to be available online only...
I guess the barrett is the next step. Should be hilarious. will post pics when it happens.
We've done a bit of cutting already... but now we're being encouraged to do shows. Desiree wants to show off!

Okay, this sounds awful, but I've used electrical tape.

It is not that hard to remove if you gently peel from the root-end toward the end, but it stays until you want it gone. you just stick the ends to each other.

What about using hair gel, like sculpting gel ,seems like it works pretty good for us humans right?

What about those really tiny clear rubber bands that they use for those small braids? Would those work?

Suave Gel

I have a friend that uses Suave Gel on her 3 pound yorkies, it only takes a drop and she has never had any adverse effects,there is something called topknot for dogs if you just like to spend money.
