How do I use those nifty animated icons??

I feel like an idiot, because apparently everyone else in the universe knows how to put them in their posts, but I have looked everywhere and can't find instructions nor figure it out. What am I missing?

By the way--I know how to put in the plain icons, like the

and

. Just not the cool animated ones like the character hiding under a chair or someone smacking someone else (usually I'd want to show someone smacking me--like right now--just smack me!).

When you go to post a reply to the right it will say smilies....click where it says show and they'll pop up.

PPPLLEEAASSEE!! I beg you, don't use animated avatars, they drive me cuckoo! I like good, sensible text and photos. Oh, well, I can't tell you what to do...

(Did you know I went to settings and turned off smilies because they annoy me? That's me, I hate little bouncy things!)
