A smart person indeed, I've thought like this a long time myself.

And this is very good advice. But this isn't a real discussion! This is a humorous discussion! Think stand up comedy!

men are SO sensitive

Exactly! (on both statements) Jeez Louise y'all! I was just having a little fun.

Anyone that truly knows me knows that I worship the ground my husband walks on. HE IS MY ROCK! (and I remind him of this every day!). He's caring and kind and an excellent provider. He is the single most important person in my life.

Lighten up!

Yup. DIIIIIIIIITTTTTTOOOOOOOO!

They're mesmerized... in a trance. The whole world outside could be blowing up, and husband will NOT flinch if he's sucked into TV. By the way, what the heck is a GSD???? I assumed a dog, but all these abbreviations sometimes confuse the hell out of me!!!!

I can cook supper, help with homework, do dishes, and dodge dogs under foot at the same time I am having a conversation with hubby about his day at work. I hear every question, every sizzle in the pan, and am completely aware of where I am in BOTH conversations when DD asks a math question AND I can do it in my head and give the correct answer for her to check her work, then turn around and flip the meat in the skillet and answer DH like I had never been in another conversation. So, I think multitasking IS real. If not, my family would NEVER get fed home cooking, and dishes would never be clean, or homework done, because the madhouse that is my home, come 4 o'clock in the afternoon is a chaotic dash to get folks wound down from work/school, lunches unpacked, dishes washed for tomorrow, and "honey how was your days" done ALL in MY KITCHEN while I cook supper. Want to come for supper and watch the show sometime? You're welcome to it! Oh, and sweety, women ARE extraordinary

as are men in their own very different ways. We multitask, men have more physical strength. Balance of power IMO.

If multitasking were a real talent, there'd be no accidents from texting or talking on the phone, while driving.....Just because you can juggle a number of balls, you still only have one in your hand, at a time.

Multitasking would be for me to dig a footer, tie steel and mix and pour concrete, all at the same time....Ain't happening.

I have 3 ex-husbands. Wait, I don't "have" them any more... Three someone elses have 'em. Mwaaaahaahahaha

All exhibited those traits, plus some other not nearly as benign.

And I CAN multiple-task; I worked in various 9-1-1 centers for 27 years. My jobs have always been to COMMUNICATE, rapidly, effectively, and using various methods at once.

I know the problems with my former marriages really originate with me, by making rather bad choices.

I used to bemoan missing a few things by not having a husband around, but I have learned to:
1) smash my own spiders.
2) use power tools
3) utilize a wooden, long-handled back-scratcher
4) and there's something else, what was that?

Uh oh. You are parsing words here. Royd, you say juggling balls and multitasking are different, Cindiloo uses the same word for both. Royd, I think you are being overly analytical and not a bit of fun, which is what this thread is about - fun. You want to parse words look elsewhere - this is a fun thread and not meant to be analytical! Try to lighten up, if you can.
