'Some folks just don't care! The girl who lives behind me at my new place "had" 70 chickens and 15 ducks when we first purchased the property back in May. She now has about 15-20 chickens, and 7 ducks. They just wonder about, I've seen one picked off by an owl, a hawk, a dog killed a few of the chicks and left them in my front yard
It's a sad deal when animals are treated like that, but you can't save them all and you can't change the way some folks think.'
True, True. I knew an annoying neighbor who would let their cat outside and she would let it eat the rats and chickens and all that stuff that it would eat and catch "oh the cat is apart of the ecosystem" then once day the cat got snatched by a hawk and was never seen again. I told the neighbor "oh the cat was apart of the eco system, just like you said" thats when the neighbor started hating me, lol
Also the cat tried to eat my silkies before so that was the first time as a chicken keeper I respected hawks and was glad the cat got taken away
