How do they tell the difference between

    grit and calcium? Looks the same to me except for a slight difference in color. I have to look at what is in the bag to figure out which is which. I also doesn't seem like they are eating either of them. The calcium doesn't surprise me because no one is laying, but what about the grit? The free range for about 3 hours a day and are obviously eating a lot while they are out there because their feed consumption has gone down tremendously since they started getting their daily outings.

    They are probably finding grit when they are out free-ranging.
