How do we attract crows?

Yes crows will chase hawks, but they are also predators and opportunist eaters. I hated crows before I got chickens, because they do so much damage in my garden. Now I hate them because they took a young RIR pullet.

Is that why they like our farm so much?...

I can tell you that when I used to turkey hunt we would use a crow call to get a "shock gobble" which is a gobble you would get from a turkey still on their roost early in the morning. People used lots of different calls but the crow call is common. More than once I ended up, in short order, with a LARGE number of crows circling overhead. They cost about $5. You might feel silly doing it but it WILL attrach crows!!

Then, if you have the foods mentioned earlier, they will probably stay in the area. Plus if there is food they will likely be more aggro against the hawks that might come around.

Good idea!

Cracked corn and pumpkins!
They stalk our backyard and eat the left overs from our birds

I use to have what I called the crow box in the yard. It was a shallow wooden box that I had set on a stump in the yard. I would put all the stale bread and other stuff in it. Brought the crows in by the dozens. Now that i have chickens they get everything.

I see them in the hundreds, but luckily they land in someone elses yard. Even just ONE in a tree being vocal is enough to drive me nuts. When I put out corn cobs they came like crazy. Do you have Blue Jays? They too are very useful. When I hear a group of them I know there is a hawk around. They will hound the hawk till it flies away. They like corn and peanuts.

Um be careful what you wish for, they are preditors too.
I think it is codswallop. I can see on any given day crows and hawks, I am on just under two acres, backed up to a pond. Sometimes the crows will chase a hawk, most times they seem to go their own ways. Hawks don't do as much crop damage.
