How do you call your chickens

I made the mistake of calling them before I knew where they were. I yelled treats and they came flying over the pool! One made it and the other swam<chicken-like> to me to the side. I now know better! And we fenced off a section of the yard for just them. I only have 2...So I can't risk loosing one...Adding to the urban flock soon! <shhhh...don't tell DH> Merry Christmas Yule all be good!

My old chickens used to respond by me shaking the feed pot for food or going to bed at night with "Bedtiiiiiiiiiiiiiimeeeee!"
They both came running.
Gunna try to teach a couple of new ones now though (New flock), would be good to just call out and have them come to me

I do talk their names to them though, they learn it after a while... They give me looks when they realise i'm directing my speech to them xD

They usually come running when they see me, but if they are out of sight then I call "Babies" and they come running.

My two Speckled Sussex hens and one of my Favs roos actually come when called by their names. Which is more than I can say about my dogs

I usually never have to call at all. They just flock when the hear the kitchen door open. But if they are out of sight I usually just say " where's them treats!". The ducks are more demanding, they tell you when it is treat time and will find the window to be at raising cane when they know you are in that room. But in the evening when I want them to got in all I have to say is " lets go girls". But again with the ducks, you better have their food bowl full and the water sled and drinking tub full of clean water or they are not going in. My fiends say my animals are spoiled rotten...I don't know what they are talking about..
