How do you catch a rabbit?

I am confused. Is this a domesticated rabbit that you think has escaped somewhere, or a wild rabbit? If it is wild...Coyotes gotta eat too. I doubt it is domesticated if the closest neighbor is half mile away. Why would you ever trap a wild rabbit and bring it to a shelter? I see you called it a "pet rabbit" in your first post, but do you just mean it has been around the yard? I know rabbits are cute but they are a crucial part of the food chain and there is no reason to remove one "to ensure its safety" if the animal is a wild native species.

OP mentioned the rabbit is white and black. I don't think any wild ones have this coloring...?

This is one of the first jokes I worked hard to memorize as a little girl. My dad told me and I thought it was so funny lol. When I saw this post name I was like “uh oh I can’t stop myself…”
If you want to catch a rabbit you make a noise like a carrot 🥕...... I thought that was the only way 🤷‍♂️

Wouldn't it also make sense to dress as a carrot?
