How do You Collect Eggs?

I have a little basket (currently holding my COVID masks), that I used to gather eggs -- except when I happened to be passing the coop on the way back from some yard chore and didn't have it.

Then I carried them in my hands or in my jacket pocket -- which was usually fine as the jacket was loose and the pockets deep. Sometimes I'd continue the yard chore, forget to take the egg out, and find it the next day.

Easily, while grabbing the poop out of the coop and hiding them from the girls as quickly as I can

I have a basket but kept forgetting to bring it so it now sits on the porch holding our chicken coop cleaning gloves.

So eggs usually come in via hands or pockets.

I can barely fit my phone in my pockets at times (stupid tiny girl jean pockets), so the fact that you can fit eggs in there.... wow. I applaud the feat XD

When production gets going I usually bring a carton or two out with me every time I go out to check for eggs, and a pencil to mark them if I think I'm gong to forget what came from where

I use my pockets mostly, and there are times when I have come inside to find those pockets sticky and an egg cracked!

I've thankfully never broken an egg inside a pocket before, but I have taken an egg jogging once! I left it on my driveway, finished my run, came back and put it right back in the pocket.

If you haven't broken one in a pocket yet... you will. Trust me you will XD. That's why I got the apron. It's pockets that I can take off.
