How do you control the addiction?

Spring has definitely sprung here and I am finding myself pleasantly surrounded by little peepers!

~9 six week olds in the outside coop brooder
~9 four week olds in the rabbit hutch brooder-in the house
~10 two week olds (that I hatched) and 10 three day old standards (from TSC) in a separate brooder-in the house
~10 day old Bantams (from TSC-bought today)- in their own little cage

~5 duck eggs, 16 Blue Ameraucana eggs and 6 mixed eggs in the bator (due around 4/20).
~9 Blue Ameraucana eggs under a broody (due 4/26)

And 36 chicks due from Ideal on 4/22.

Anyone else got chick fever????

I am going to have my DH read your post then he won't think I'm so bad after all every time i drive by TSC my car just starts turning in all by its self....

I have 20 rir's in the run, 24 white leghorns in the incubator......had the urge to go to the local feed store, rode the motorcycle......cant bring home chicks on a motorcycle.....well not that kind anyway!

We got 38 from ideal, have hatched maybe 40, have 30 in the hatcher and about 130 in the incubator.....

It's sooo out of control, but we're trying to get 4 breeding projects going and we just need more birds.

I don't know how we've gotten so many. We weren't getting any eggs then-BOOM. I can't think about it anymore my head is going to explode....

No control needed except maybe cruise control to keep it going!!

I have 9 6-week old
2 4-week olds
6 3-week olds
19 eggs in incubator
18+ eggs being shipped next week.
(oh, and I'm looking for a couple of GLW chicks if you know of any in Oregon!!

My DH is pretty good, he just calmly says "Oh, cool", when I ramble on about my latest chick purchase from TSC, a hatchery, BYC'ers or the auction.

I guess lucky for me TSC only got 2 breeds of standards in (secretly hoping they get more, but I probably shouldn't be).

We have to go buy a shed to use as a new Bantam coop this weekend. My chicken/duck compound keeps expanding lol.

Its nice to see I am not the only one with this addiction!
