Oh no! Sorry you have to do this at Christmas. Tie by legs, hang upside down (tree limb works OK out away from the house critters won't come around) and hold head...use a very sharp knife. If the bird is sick, bury it in a plastic bag (now that we can dig into the soil around here again). If you are getting rid of an "attack" roo or hen, take it to Western Farms and let some family buy it and make dinner. Just give it to them with a "warning, not for children!" notice.
