How do you feed diatomaceous earth to them? Do I just mix in 2% with their regular feed? Also, does it act as a de-wormer?

You can also sprinkle it around the coop and on the roosting poles and in their pen. It helps deter other bugs also.

Permaguard recommends 1 & 1/4 cups per 50 # bag. I only have 3 hens so I add 1 teaspoon to quart of feed. Yes it is supposed to worm...

DE doesnt kill internal parasites.

It will kill insects in stored grain, which is why it's mixed with feed and also why it's rated "food grade"

It will also kill mites on chickens but it ONLY works when its DRY

I sprinkle mine in my coops litely about once a week and little in food..there coops stay dry and odor down..I love using the stuff and I take it too at times..

DE is an amazing product, I bought a 50lb bag last summer and am still scooping out of it. I add it to their feed mix, liberally sprinkle it on their wet and dry litter and nesting boxes, I use it everywhere when it comes to chickens but have never consumed it myself.

I live about 25 miles north of detroit michigan

at some of the farm bureas and tractor supply
and no one uses it or has it in stock they suggest lime?????.
ANY IDEAS......THANKS TO ALL
