How do you handle unwanted evangelists who knock at your door?

Honestly, it is not my opinion toward any one religion more than it is my opinion toward humanity. We are all people, and I will never understand the anger that slams a door on someone simply because they are doing what they are told to do. Now my opinion on the being told what to do is a whole other Oprah!

People are scared,I think...and some are indifferent....if that same person who unleashed the dog called my DD tomorrow....she would gladly have a bible study with them....she holds no grudges.She knows that people don't know what it is they are refusing...and that the bible has the power to change people.Forgiveness is a BIG thing!!

I think it just comes down to some people disliking being bugged at home, and some people not minding. I feel it has more to do with that and less to do with religion. I for one am part of the latter group. I love hearing a knock at the door. I thrive on human interaction.

You seem to have some nice people coming to your door, the ones who come to my door are persistent, after I tell them I am not interested they continue to hand me literature and preach to me, and even after I tell them that I am not interested they continue to stop by once a month....
Also the ones that come to my door are never kids they are older adults...

This is why I have gotten to the point of just closing the door when they stand at my door step....

I think the uber short bike ride is part of why we're so "popular"

Plus the other houses are 2 story townhouses (stairs to reach 2/3rd of them) so our 4 cul-de-sacs of duplexes is the easiest place to go. I think they've decided to give me extra intrest because of the wheelchair.

I am very to the point. And that is sometimes offensive. I never TRY to be offensive, but telling it like it is, well that sometimes upsets people. I apologize for everything I may say that offends someone. *Sigh*
