how do you introduce a duckling to a 4 week old duck?

As long as they can see their mama they are okay. Never under estimate a predator.

oh definitely even though my dogs are awesome and we'll trained I still have it to where they can't get in where they are the can lay by and see them but if I go inside I put up a barrier

I absolutely love your pictures of these two. You get some great action shots. I also love how they emulate each other. Marceline's body half in and half out of the pot is precious and then Gunter being able to fit her whole body in it is so cute. These two loves are bonded so strongly.

They're doing well, thanks! Had a scare last night when a hawk came in low during swim time. Thankfully I was standing over them and by reflex I waved my arms when I saw a shadow overhead (it came from behind me). Not sure he would've tried anything, but made me nervous anyway! Yep, I definitely miss them so I get on here and look at their pics on my phone. I'm obsessed!

@Debs Flock Thank you, she's an indian runner, a chocolate one, oh my.I would have been scared too haha, I even get a protective instinct when I see bluebirds and crows or.blackbirds well I guess any kind of bird that isn't small as my hand

You're welcome. I am glad you were there to wave the hawk off. I hate that those birds are around the ducks. I am in awe of and think raptors are neat but hate the idea they predate on other birds. Enough of that.

I know what you mean about obsessed with ducks. As you know I am too. I work full time during the day and so many times use my smart phone to go on BYC to see the pics and posts people have put up. And for the fun social benefits as well with folks like you. On days I am too busy and can't get on I get antsy. To be honest, this is my only social media. I am not on FB anymore nor twitter, instagram, etc. I am ok with it entirely because BYC keeps me plenty busy and at least people on here all understand and live for these birds.

You're very welcome. Even if it's hard you still get some great ones. It's neat seeing the sequence of events in their lives. Plus they are so cute so that is a huge bonus.
