Hi there! I was just wondering what is the best way to predator proof a duck run. I have a 15 x 10' pen that is in a woodsy area and cant lay hardware cloth around the perimeter. any suggestions?

Please post pictures of your set-up.
You should still be able to lay down a predator apron as long as the trees around the setup are cleared about 2' out.

i just thought of this, could i cover the entire bottom of the run with hardware cloth and then cover the cloth with dirt?

That's will help but animals will keep tunneling under your coop. I'd just attach the fencing to the bottom of the coop and lay it on the ground. Then go back with large flat limestone rocks and lay them on top of it next to the coop. Over time the fence will bury itself. We've done this with dog fencing inside our horse fencing because I don't want dogs digging out. Mine are so spoiled they want to be inside all the time. On nice days it's good for them to go outside for a few hours, and I don't want them digging out LOL
