IMG_0691.JPG IMG_0673.JPG I see so many photos of these perfect and pretty runs with perfect sand and a clean ramp.
Yet this is my run above.
How can I get mine to look like the one with the black chickens?

I assure you not as many people have those gorgeous runs all the time, and those who do probably have to clean their coop and run pretty much everyday to keep it that way. Also that picture is by the chicken chick and her chickens are her job so she has to keep it nice.

Well, of course you know, that the chicken chick has beautifully staged photos because it's good for her marketing strategy....simple as that.

I took this pic right after adding some fresh 'hay...perfect enough?

Raschickens and Aart, yours both look more homey and fun for the chicks to explore. I hope mine looks as good as yours: just started building.

When it rains and floods, most folks runs go from looking awesome to resembling a cow pen that needs to be mucked out. When the weather passes and all the detritus is taken out, and DE is laid down and then hay, they look awesome again. The aged compost is good for the garden though.

It's actually kind of bare, they could use more places to lounge on and under, there are some roosts just out of the shot above.

And this is the other leg of the run:

Dang why did it crop it??
