How do you know if the meat is ok to eat?

I have 14 CX that are about 7/8 weeks old. One had a bad leg and so we butchered him today (still able to get around but struggling). This was our first time butchering and processing. When I went to cut the leg in the joint, there was a little bit of yellow liquid that came out of the joint. I cut off the thigh and all, but is it still ok to eat or should I toss the whole thing? Also, how do you know if the meat is bruised and is that ok? There is a small bloody spot on the breast just under the skin. I’m not sure if it’s even a bruise but I’m very new to this so any advice is appreciated!

I'd eat it, cut out the bruised spot if you want to. The yellow liquid was likely from inflammation, it is safe. Also when you cut into a joint there is 'gel', the lubricating liquid that lets the joints move smoothly.
