How do you like your steak cooked?

I like mine rare to medium rare and so do my kids. I can't stand when its overcooked, dry, tough and shreds when you cut it! My DH likes his well done and hates 'blood' running out of his steak. He too claims our meat is still mooing.

I brush on melted butter w/ garlic salt mixed in while they are grilling or frying. Love fried mushrooms with them!

Rare! For years I was destroying my poor steaks, because someone had scared me about worms or bacteria when I was young and tried a piece of raw steak. Thank goodness for my SO, or I would never have learned better. Nowadays medium rare tastes way overdone to me.

This year we got chickens for the best eggs I've ever had; I am ruined! Can't hardly choke down eggs at Waffle House anymore.

NOW we gone and done the same to beef. DH's co worker raises beef and saved us a critter; sent it to the butcher having only been grass fed. OMG! Even DH's cardiologist says its OK for him to eat that! DH won't ever order steaks when we eat out; I did the last time and couldn't even finish it due to it tasting so off.

RUINED, I tell you!

Oh, yeah: for me very rare for our personal stock. Regular rare for eating out - if there's nothing else.
