How do you make french toast?

I use two small eggs and 3/4 cup whole milk and a pinch of salt. Since I got back in the chicken business I'm trying to learn ways to eat eggs. ( I hate eggs)

The amounts given above made two times the amount shown, mine and hers.

No milk only cream and they saturate the bread so it pools back in the pan

Thank you!!! I will try it.

This is interesting how many variations there are. Personally, I'm not a big cinnamon fan so I don't use it in mine. Just eggs, milk or cream, a good vanilla extract whipped up. I dunk the bread in that mixture and pan fry it in butter. I've found big eaters (like when my boys were teenagers) like thick slices and little kids like pieces of bread cut in 1/2. Sometimes when its a special occasion I sprinkle it with powdered sugar when it comes out of the pan.

I'm surprised nobody had mentioned the bread variations are endless also. Banana bread works great, as does bagel breads (especially flavored ones like orange cranberry or blueberry). By bagel bread I mean bagel dough made into a loaf instead of the bagels. I'm sure cinnamon bread or cinnamon raisin bread would be great also.

Great recipes! I like the Egg Nog idea, along with cinnamon and vanilla. Oh why can't I remember to make french toast when I'm up to my eyeballs in stale bread and eggs.
