Sorry, I just saw your post! It is pronounced like eezmah. She was the evil character in The Emperor's New Groove
This is yzma, the most evil rooster I have ever met. I was the only person he would not attack, including my son who is six foot two. Sadly, he had to be culled, but I'll always wonder if his name had anything to do with his personality.

Our name are a conglomeration of family members and just what popped into our heads at the time.
We started out with 6, 2-orpingtons Daffodil and Buttercup, 2-silver laced Wyandottes Egg and Nog and 2- barred ROCK but lost one to a hawk attack so when doing a head count it was wheres number 5 which turned into Chanel(#5), the second 5 are 2 gold laced Wyandottes Rosemary and Thyme, 2 blue Wyandottes biscuit and grits and a barred ROCK...wait for it ...wait for it COCO as in COCO Chanel lol. We purchased chicken anklets for our flock....we cant tell them apart either.
I also had a Barred Rock named Coco! She was a super sweet girl.

I named mine on the 2nd day I had them.
Tammy, easter egger?
Bar Rocks, Cuda and Duster
Runnner, Ameraucana ?
Princess and Sandy? Banthams?
Charisse and Ruby, Rhode Island Reds

DH does the naming here. It started with a pair of Cochins, which he named Hayden and Christine (after the TV show Coach). There's a black Naked Neck hen he calls Francois because he thinks she sometimes looks like she wears a beret. There's Fred, named after Fred Astaire for the way he dances for his girls. Kristin is Christine's daughter. Etc. He just lets me know when a name hits him, and it usually sticks :)
