I try to keep everyone happy and say Soda Pop. Just sound nuts half the time though

I have heard people refer to soft drinks as soda pop. Another one comes to mind, scallop.
skal-lup, scol-lup. Again it's where you are from to how you pronounce it. I can think of so many words with different pronunciations. I'll just stick with what I grew up with.
