how do you say "mille fleur D'Uccle?

I have seen an heard a whole BUNCH of different pronunciations. Throw in some regional accents and ...

Anyways, I say something like milly flur duckel. I've never heard of pronouncing contractions as if the apostrophe were present. We don't say "Don T, we say "dont." We say "ar-ent" or "arnt" not "Aren T." Etc. I do realize it is probably pronounced a bit different in Belgium.

I speak French well enough to get by, but am not fluent. We have quite a few French & British relatives living in Le Périgord (2 of my children are there currently). While I rather thought D'Uccle wouldn't be pronounced Dew-clay, I have not knowingly been there & as I said I have not fluent French. While phoning my son, this morn, I remembered this subject & asked him. I cannot write exact pronunciation, the 'U' is pronounced the same way as the 'u' in the feminine 'une' but it does not end in 'lay', the 'le' is barely pronounced more like 'cl' as in 'clap'.
Unless the natives of Uccle have a different regional accent, it seems reasonable to assume that the Belgians pronounce the name similarly to the French.

I say "millie flur dee-ukkel", and I've yet to hear a judge, or too many other people, pronounce it differently, although I have seen on here that many pronounce it "doo-clay" or many other variations.
