Help I need it urgently I have had 8 chicks and I am concerned about 4 of them which are GL Wyandottes
My family keep saying that the chick is a boy but the 3 others have hardly and gold and heaps of black. The one I am concerned about has heaps of gold and is very adventurous and apparently sounds a bit strange like a dog toy says my sister. The boy has a larger comb and it is a pinky colour.

This is the chick I am talking about......

These are the others chicks.....

I am okay with having a boy but I just want to know!!!

Actually they r still a bit to young to sex but u are correct in assumeing its male because ot has more gold feathering but lots of times u will have a hen chick with lots of gold at that age or a even a male with lots of black so its not very acurate to sex them that way. I would say that both birds pictured r roos just by the stance and the way they r feathering in with stuby wings and little to no body or tail feathering but then again like I sd still a bit too early to tell. Try posting new pics in about 2 or 3 weeks as I dont see anyone going to b a ble to give u a def answer at this point. U need a better pic of the first ones head. It does seem to be developing a rosster comb but most of it is cut outta the pic.

definite roo looks like he is going to be a beautigul boy on top of tha. i love mine his name is big daddy and he looks like a balloon with legs!
