how do you sex exchequer leghorn (6 week photos added)

I am a *NOVICE*, but, I had white leghorns and I swear the combs were turning "reddish" IN THE FIRST WEEK!!!! And the combs/wattles grew at a ridiculously fast rate, AND they crowed VERY EARLY!! So if an exchequer's comb, etc., development is the same as for a white, I would definitely, definitely vote "PULLET".... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THat is a pullet. I have leghorns and it was VERY VERY obvious from very early on who were pullets and cockerels.

It is a pullet.

Beautiful bird you have there...I saw the pictures and I have four week old Ancona chicks and they look exactly like yours except for the black around the eyes...is this another name for that breed?

hmmmm....here's the thing...i'm seriously in limbo here. those wattles are a little too prominent for a pullet but the comb might be more pink for a cockerel! argh.

yikes. i are stumped. uber stumped. MJ is down, i repeat! MJ is down...
