Grab a 6 pack of cold beers. Plop your lawn chair next to the quail pen and wait to see who crows.

The best way is to just squeeze their vent, if white foamy stuff comes out, it's a male.

Is it normal for a hen to mount another hen??? or do I just have strange birds? I thought I knew what was in the pen until this stuff started happening. She is bald as all get out from gettin mated, and yet she mounts other hens.

I had some male quail bald because the other dominating males plucked them bald. You need to vent sex the bald one and see if the foamy stuff comes out of the vent. It's simple to do, kind of like milking. You don't have to do it very hard at all.
