How do you ship chicks?

Do you have to use special chick shipping boxes or can you use priority boxes with lots of holes punched in them? If you need to use special boxes where do you get them?

Most of the well known poultry houses sell shipping boxes and IMHO your best to ship in them. Ive shipped adult quail using my own "home made" boxes with screens tapped in for air without issue (but that was several years ago so not sure if the PO has tightened any rules) Will be interested to see what others say!
