Recently my chickens started eating their own eggs, i've asked some other egg suppliers in my area they said that the chickens might be lacking something in their diet. They have oyster shells and are feed scratch grains and layer crumbels. They are very healthy and don't bother picking each other.

Unfortunately, once chickens begin eating their own eggs, in most cases they can't be stopped.

There are those who put in "roll away" nest boxes so that after the egg is laid, it will roll to the back of the next box and the hens can't get to it.

You will hear folks give lots of possible cures, I've never seen any of them work.
