my sympathy. Am a bit worried about this as yesterday I picked up 6 free hens from a couple who were starting a new venture and wanted to rehome their chucks.5 were badly defeathered and the dominant 1 was fully feathered. From the set up overcrowding and boardom was my thought. They now live in a big yard and huge field pen.The head chicken had a go at quite a few of the hens before trying her luck with the 2 roos. They bossed her so I guess time will tell and moulting as to wether the de- feathering will stop.Hope it doesnt spread to the rest of the flock. In 2 years I never had any trouble
