How do you tell if an egg is fertile?

Silkies are the best incubators - there is a member on the Washington thread that has always called his a "silkie-bator"

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Silkies are nature's best incubators. I used to have Black Silkies and they raised several broods for us. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your hatching.

I am happily to say that I'm trying to hatch two fertile silkie eggs!!! I'm always excited to candle the eggs! The babies will be white polish splash silkie crosses. Sadly I won't be able to keep them , but I'll have fun raising them!!

I'm dying of happiness!!!!! :,D I don't know how old the eggs are, but I do know. IM EXCITED!!!! Here are the pictures of mommy, daddy, and the eggs
