How do you tell the difference between hen and rooster when they're chicks or older.

We thought that Thelma & Rose were the girls by the 2 feathers on the end of their wings that are long.

I'm still learning so take my guesses with a grain of salt, but I see the following as cockerels: Sheriff, Shelby and Thelma. The other two I can't say because of the angles of the pics. Need side shots of the heads. Hard for me to judge from head-on shots.

ETA: Louie might be a pullet. I missed that one the first time.

So about 1 month old?
Louie,Percy and Rose are the only I would say might end up as pullets, but the size of their combs just really makes me unsure.

I think Louie is your only hen the rest are probably roosters but Percy looks like the one that maybe just maybe could surprise you since Percy doesn't have such a red comb as the others

All cockerels, except 2. Better picture of Louie could help. I have suspects for her. Rose looks like a pullet for now, but could very possibly be a slower developing cockerel. An update later could help.

I believe they are all cockerels; Rose could possibly be a faster developing pullet, but I don't think so. I think it's a slower developing cockerel than the rest.
