We have 6 chickens (7 weeks old). They are supposed to be pullets. I know males and females in this breed each have combs. How do you tell the difference? Post number 4 has pics of our leghorns.

The tails of the males will start getting much longer and curved at that age. At least that's my experience with black leghorns. Same thing.

By seven weeks the cockerels will have a distinctly larger comb, thicker legs, and more attitude - leghorns tend to be early developers. If you would like to post some pictures of any you are not sure of I am sure people here will take a guess.

Here are our leghorns. They are supposed to be pullets. All appear to have the same shape tail. We have one (fourth picture) with very little comb and 1/2 the size of the others. All came home at the same time.
