Hi people,

We are picking up 12 four week old Rhode Island Reds today to add to our chicken family. They said they were unsexed so my question is can I tell the sex now or do I have to wait for them to be a lilttle older?

Dankie!

You might be able to tell now by the comb. Those with a bigger, redder, or even slightly bent comb could be roos. It will become more obvious in the next 2 weeks- from my experience with RIRs.
