How do you wean a baby pigeon?

I’m currently handfeeding with a syringe a 4 week old pigeon. How do I wean him off the syringe so that he can eat seeds and drink water by himself?

Put feed and water in his cage - out of curiosity he will start picking and eating and drinking. He will wean himself.
