How do your birds show they like you?

I have an EE (Molly the 3rd who turned a year old in May) that likes to fly into my arms when I enter the coop, and I usually have to carry her around with me. She makes cute sounds (well, like a velociraptor ) and flaps her wings, when I’m beside her.… then, shadows me the whole time I’m in there. Some of the behavior may be that she imprinted on me, since I raised her from hatching. I think she also sees me as her “safe place”, since she still seems a bit afraid of the other chickens. All of my Seramas, Mille Fleur d’Uccle, Silkies, and Porcelain d’Anvers like to fly up into my arms, when I‘m in their building, or hop up onto my lap. I totally it!

Mine will run up to me and yell until I go in there. Then about half of them will come up and want to be hugged. Since I have eighteen, that’s about nine chickens who rush at me all at once.

Personally, my chickens more or less tolerate me, with my rooster strongly advising me not to wear pink or unfamiliar footwear, both of which he strongly opposes

Red girl walks around me clucking looking up for me to hold out my hand. She chats up a storm and wipes her beak on me when she can reach. Not uncommon for her to pick through my hair and she even brings her chicks to me and lets me pick them up ( Video evidence lol

). When she does come out in the yard all fluffed up and broody. She fluffs up and drops her wings to everyone but me.

This little guy just started jumping up when I sit outside.

I also have 2 more chicks that have started wanting to sit and hang out on me

I have this window thats the perfect height for them. Its fun to toss their snack

It just startles me when they come in through the window.

Two of my five chicks like to get on my lap and sit. Sometimes a third one will. I started stroking their wing feathers gently and saying, "Safe with momma," as I did so. Those two or three will hopefull stay my lap chickens.

My older birds all run up to the fence when I sing the Chickie Snack song.

You wouldn't survive at my house. If you hear wings congratulations you're now a mobile purch.

Mine chase me to my door, because that is where the treat cup is kept. Or they just follow me around until I head to my house and then chase me.
