I dunno that its LUV, or anything, but my girls have a profound fascination with my (painted) toenails. I've learned to not wear my Tevas to hang out laundry anymore, LOL!
My chickens are not the super snugly types, but they make really great eye contact and sometimes seem to hang on my every word when I am talking to them.
My chickens were raised for the first ten weeks in a place where they do a lot of breeding of chickens, so they didn't get a lot of one on one attention. As a result, they aren't overly friendly, except for Moe. For Eenie, Meenie, and Minie, I'm just glad that they have gotten used to me being around, and don't run away from me anymore. Moe likes to stand really close to me, and I've learned that she seems to enjoy being picked up and petted.
And if I put Moe down too soon, she stands right infront of me and won't move until I pick her up again.
The only one of mine that sort of stays out of my way is the roo, so far he is the only one that looks and acts like a roo and i will pick him up once in a while just to let hin know who the boss is! I do get the infamous "stink eye" from him though..
My partridge silkie Desiree loves to be held. I hold her up face level in my hands sometimes to talk to her and she will reach her head out until it is resting on my forehead. Then she relaxes and coos. She loves to tuck her head under my arm while I carry her around. So cute. I love that Desiree.
