How do your Ducks like their Pumpkin prepared?

Maybe I didn't leave it out long enough for the ducks. They are a suspicious lot. The chickens poked at it right away, but turned their beaks up at it. I was worried about the pumpkin rotting and getting moldy if I left it out any longer. How long will they last once cut open before rotting?

I don’t see any mold or rot and this one’s been out 2 weeks but the temps have been cold to cool too.

I gutted, cubed and baked one of our big porch pumpkins. I took the guts and put them in water for them. Alot of it was eaten. I saved and am soaking the seeds. I've been adding a bit of the baked pumpkin to their morning greens in water daily. They like it, always gets eaten.
